Customer Goals.

  • Understand and invest in staff resilience to improve wellbeing and, longer-term, retention
  • Measure and improve staff resilience over time
  • Create a school Workforce Strategy, aligned to system priorities, taking into account the local context and existing initiatives
  • Build collective local ownership and accountability for the strategy and its success

How PeopleBench helped.

  • Staff completed the short, anonymous Workforce Resilience Trackerâ„¢ survey online at six-monthly intervals
  • Leadership team used the Workforce Resilience dashboard to measure staff resilience across 7 research-backed factors
  • Leadership team debriefed resilience results and accessed the Workforce Resilience dashboard to understand emerging trends and strengths and areas for development
  • PeopleBench provided support through a series of Community of Practice sessions to develop Workforce Strategy based on data, benchmarks, and best practice

Results.

  • Ability to target the type of staff wellbeing support and its timing to where and when it’s most needed
  • Insights to support proactive decision-making around staff workload and interventions
  • Building on existing initiatives (such as Wellbeing Week) and incorporating simple, practical ideas into existing structures
  • Developed a Workforce Strategy linked to their Annual Improvement Plan (AIP) and aligned to system priorities
  • Creating a sense of collective responsibility, cascading from the leadership team to middle leadership and engaging with the broader staff

What our clients say.

The opportunity to use a platform to gather data and then to be part of a process where we not only analyse the data, but we enact some change in response to that, is something that as a college we’re really used to doing and we’ve seen the benefits of.

The Strategy Builder would be a good example of how to create change and sustain change. It’s prompting you to do everything you should be doing when you’re wanting to make change in an organisation.

[The Workforce Strategy] is so easy to download and share with the leadership team. It presents really nicely. It conceptualises who we are and what our goals are.

The survey your staff complete is really straightforward, simple, non-confrontational. From there the insights you’re going to gain from that data are really great and can inform drastic change, or perhaps just tweaking and minor adjustments to what you’re already doing.

My experience with the Resilience Tracker is that the steps that you’re going through support you in conceptualising your direction and change. That gives you more confidence because you’ve got the data—you’ve gone through that process to reflect on it. That supports you to take the action that is needed.
